Satellix — Privacy policy

Last updated: October 10, 2026 · Version française (the French version prevails in case of discrepancy)

Satellix is an Android arcade game (a satellite switching orbits to dodge debris). The game requires no account. It shows Google AdMob ads, uses Google Firebase for usage statistics and crash reports, and offers purchases through Google Play: this page explains what these services process.

1. Data stored only on your phone

Your progress (best score, stars, planets and missions, unlocked skins, daily reward) and settings (sounds, music, vibration, language) are stored only on your phone. We have no game server and do not receive this data.

The app asks for no sensitive permission: no GPS location, contacts, camera, microphone or files.

2. Advertising (Google AdMob)

The game shows a banner on the home and game over screens, sometimes a full-screen ad between two runs (never during a run), and optional rewarded videos (continue a run, double your stars). These ads are provided by Google AdMob (Google Ireland Limited for the European Economic Area and Switzerland; Google LLC elsewhere).

  • Data shared with Google: the Android advertising ID, IP address (from which Google infers an approximate location), technical device information (model, Android version, language), diagnostics and ad interactions, to serve and measure ads and prevent fraud.
  • Consent: in the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland, a Google consent form is shown at first launch. Without your consent, only non-personalized or limited ads are shown. You can change your choice at any time in Settings > Manage privacy choices.
  • Legal basis: your consent for personalized ads and storing information on your device; our legitimate interest in funding a free game for non-personalized ads and fraud prevention.
  • You can reset or delete your advertising ID in Android settings (Privacy > Ads). Learn more: how Google uses data from partner apps.

3. Statistics and crash reports (Google Firebase)

  • Firebase Analytics: game events (runs played, score, planet reached, shop visits, rewarded videos watched, purchases), device model, Android version, country and approximate location inferred from the IP address, linked to a random installation ID. Statistics only start after the consent form and, in the European Economic Area, follow your choice. Legal basis: your consent.
  • Firebase Crashlytics: when the app crashes, its technical state (error trace, device model, Android version) and a random installation ID. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in fixing errors.
  • Firebase Remote Config: lets us tune some settings remotely (for example ad frequency), based on language, country and app version.

Google acts as our processor. This data contains neither your name nor your email address. Learn more: Firebase privacy.

4. Purchases (Google Play)

In-app purchases (ad removal, stars, skins) are sold by Google Play, which alone processes the payment: we never receive your bank details or email address. The app only receives the purchase confirmation from Google Play, to deliver the content and restore it after a reinstall. No purchase gives a gameplay advantage or random content.

5. What we don't do

  • No account, no collection of your name, email or precise location.
  • We do not sell your data. The advertising data described in section 2 is shared with Google only to show and measure ads.

6. Retention and transfers

Game data stays on your phone until you uninstall the app or clear its data. Detailed Firebase Analytics data is kept for 2 months, crash reports for 90 days. Advertising data is kept by Google under its own rules. Google may process this data outside the European Union, notably in the United States, under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

7. Age

Satellix is meant for people aged 13 and over. It is not designed for children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data. Ads are limited to content suitable for teens.

8. Your rights

You have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection and restriction, and you can withdraw your consent at any time (Settings > Manage privacy choices). Firebase and advertising data are linked to random identifiers: we cannot link them to you. The simplest way to erase them is to reset your advertising ID and uninstall the game. For any question, write to mickael.rip@proton.me. You can lodge a complaint with your data protection authority (in France, the CNIL: www.cnil.fr).

9. Changes

If something changes (for example a new third-party service), this page and its date are updated.
